The m7 Street Fair has grown to over 140 booths, food, rides and crafts for the kids, live music, over 200 classic cars, and almost 18,000 visitors. Consider being a bonafide Blight Buster volunteer and join the program! The next free training will be at 6:00 PM Tuesday March 6th 2012 at the NSD West Facility, 3325 W. Flower Street. Saturday March 24th, 2012 starting at 8:00 AM – Coffee, Juice, and Danish provided
Once again we will be having our annual PNA Spring Clean-Up event. We will have a dumpster, tools, gloves, trash bags, etc… it’s a great opportunity to come together as a neighborhood and spruce things up as we go into Spring and Summer. In the past we have gone around in groups focusing on trash, graffiti, sidewalks and gutters, and we can even, with enough prior planning, help our elderly neighbors with a little extra assistance sprucing up their yards. It also gives us a chance to possibly clean up any of the abandoned properties within our neighborhood. Please watch your emails and newsletter for more information as we get closer to the date.
Saturday April 21st - 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM
Several of the board members thought it would be nice to gather together as a neighborhood and have a community event and a Pancake Breakfast sounded like a great way to get things started. PNA will provide the Pancakes, Bacon or Sausage, Coffee, and Juice and we can all get together while it is still cool out and just have some fun social time together. Currently we are looking at 13 Avenue for the gathering. So once again, keep an eye on your emails and newsletters for more information as we get closer to the date.
Save the date. Details will be added for location and speakers closer to the time of the event. We are trying something new. We are having a more formal meeting the 1st Tuesday of Feb, May, Aug, and Nov where we will continue to have our crime prevention speakers along with community affairs info, treasurer and secretary reports, and any other business items. Then the following first Saturday after each formal meeting we will have a less formal meeting located within the neighborhood either outside or in someone’s home where we will quickly review important items from the formal meeting and then this is where we would have the specialized guest speakers.
We hope to see all of you at our next meeting (Tuesday, August 7) at 6:30 p.m. at the AmeriSchools campus located at 1333 W. Camelback. See the newsletter for additional information.
